Answer:

1). Professional integration is a multidisciplinary approach in which the professionals from different backgrounds cooperate and work together as a team. It is one of the managerial issues at the University Healthy System (UHS). The concept of professional integration is related to the organization’s nursing division because it directly impacts on its performance. It is relevant to the organization because the more integrated the division is, the high the quality of services provided to the clients. Meaning, for the performance to improve, the management of UHS must embrace a professional integration approach by supporting and empowering the nursing staff to embrace the culture of interdisciplinary cooperation and collaboration.
2). Despite the significant contributions of professional integration in the improvement of its performance, the nursing division at UHS has not prioritized it in its strategic planning process. This, according to the information provided, is attributed to the fact that the planning was considered as an internal activity that mainly focuses on the matters pertaining to nurses, not other practitioners. The management of the nursing division might have assumed that each division has its strategic plans which are aimed at addressing its issues. That is why the strategic planning process was treated as a nursing issue that did not necessarily have to go beyond the division and extend to other professionals like physicians, pharmacists, and surgeons.
3). Professional integration should be treated as a priority area in the nursing division because nursing cannot operate autonomously without partnering with other professionals like doctors, pharmacists, therapist, surgeons, and many others. Each of these professionals must foster a good working relationship with the nurses because through such initiatives, the quality of services given by the nurses can improve. Professional integration in the nursing division should, therefore, be treated as a matter of priority because practitioners such as Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses cannot succeed in their duties without working in collaboration with the physicians. The nursing, financial, surgical, emergency, pediatric, and all the other divisions must be integrated because they are, but components of a larger unit called UHS.
4).
1. The management of UHS has got opportunities for fostering the culture of professional integration between the nursing departments within its network. The integration between the nurses from different hospitals should be done by brining he nurses together and enabling them to work as one unit regardless of the branch in which they are attached as long as they work for the same organization.
2. The hospital has chances of enhancing the spirit of interdisciplinary integration between the nurses and doctors who work in the same facility. This is possible because, despite their specialties, the doctors and nurses must work as a team since they cannot achieve anything without consulting or supporting one another. This should be done by encouraging them to cooperate and become team players who are ready to embrace interdisciplinary approach whenever attending to their patients.
 
3.There are opportunities for integrating the members of the nursing and financial divisions within the same hospital because they work together and cannot operate without one another. To achieve this, the management should encourage the culture of interdisciplinary collaboration and interpersonal communication between the members of these departments.
