Business case:
The newly established café Qualiteria focuses on transforming their manual working system to automatic working system. The location of the cafeteria attracts many customers towards the organization. The increasing rate of customers result in inconsistency of services provided to the customers. The issues which are associated with the traditional working of the cafeteria are the waiter staffs is inefficient in taking orders from the clients, the waiting time of the customers is increasing, customers can receive incorrect orders, inadequacy in stock levels, and others. The project owner wants to automate the ordering system and transform the working scenario of the organization. The kitchen staffs gets information through electronic orders. The alert should be generated on lowering down the level of stock. The handheld devices are installed in the cafeteria for taking electronic orders from the customers. The proposed project will be able to reduce the waiting time of the customers, improvement in the services provided to the customers, minimise the condition of underflow of stock, on time delivery of meal, and others.
Quality management strategy:
Introduction:The performance of the cafeteria depends on the quality of service provided to the customers. “The strategic planning should be developed for making an automated project of taking orders for the effective working of the cafeteria” (Shacklett, 2013). The project should be designed by analysing the requirement of the associated stakeholders. Core teams, stakeholders, and extended teams are the members who are responsible for creating quality management strategy for the proposed project.
Quality management procedures: The balance should be made between the requirement and the improvement required in the current working tactics to improve the quality of service provided to the customers. “The communication should be developed between customers and the top level management to know the gap in the current working tactics” (Wesley, 2013).
Quality planning:The commercial success of the project depends on the quality planning.
Quality control: The changes are required to transform the manual working system of cafeteria to automatic working system with improved quality of services provided to the customers.
Quality assurance:The assurance of quality can be analysed by consistency in taking orders from customers, increasing the level of satisfaction in customers, profit of the organization get improved, loyalty, and competitiveness. The focus should be given on meeting the requirement, need, and expectation of the customers. On-time delivery of order can raises the satisfaction level of the customers which result into increasing the profit of the organization.
Tools and techniques:The quality of the proposed project can be measured by using the tools and technologies of the quality management program. The quality management tools are named as cause and effect diagram, check sheet, control charts, histograms, Pareto charts, scatter diagram, and stratification.
Records:The quality register helps in summarising activities related with quality management program. The following format should be filled for analysing the quality of the proposed projects.

Configuration management strategy:
Introduction:”Configuration management is the process of system engineering which is used for maintaining and managing the consistency of the services provided to the customers of cafeteria” (Bellovin, 2009). The designing of process is the key responsibility of the configuration process manager. It focuses on developing interrelationship between kitchen staff, waiter staffs, house-keeping, top management, and customers for the smooth functioning of the proposed project.
Configuration management procedures:The configuration management focuses on improving the performance of the proposed project for maximizing the profit of the cafeteria. “It ensures the compliancy of the project for the effective functioning of different modules” (Dart, 2016). The error count can be reduced and minimised. The online management of activities can be improved. The proper monitoring and controlling mechanism should be used for adding new features and functionality to the proposed project in the benefit of the cafeteria.
Issues and change control procedures: Change control procedures are used for requesting, reviewing, planning, approving, and implementing changes required in the traditional working system of the organization. The issues which are associated with the traditional working of the cafeteria are the waiter staffs is inefficient in taking orders from the clients, the waiting time of the customers is increasing, customers can receive incorrect orders, inadequacy in stock levels, and others.
Tools and techniques:Different tools such as chef, chef server, chef client, puppet, CF engine, Juju, rudder, Ansible, and others of configuration management are used for reducing the redundant work of taking orders of the waiters, the simultaneous updates can be effectively managed, problems related with configuration management should be avoided, simplification can be bring between coordination among different stakeholders, and others. It focuses on tracking defects of the proposed projects.
Record:The proper database should be managed for keeping the records of the customers and staffs. The configuration management helps in maintaining and managing the consistency of the services provided to the customers of cafeteria.
Reporting: The feedback module helps in reporting complaints of the customers about the facilities provided by the cafeteria.
Timing of configuration management and issues and change of activities:The proposed project focuses on developing new mechanism for taking orders from the customers. “The kitchen staffs are informed by electronic orders” (Appleton, 2016). The stock level should be monitored and reviewed periodically.
Roles and responsibilities:”The role and responsibilities of the configuration process owner is to ensure the process of configuration management fits for testing the proposed project”(Adhikari, 2012). The designing of process is the key responsibility of the process manager. The process of configuration management focuses on critical success factors and key performance indicators. The disputes should be managed between allocation of resources and management of stock according to the current demand of the orders. The awareness programs should be arranged for promoting the configuration management process. The configuration management process focuses on monitoring and reviewing of the execution of proposed project.
Conclusion:
The strategic planning should be developed for making an automated project of taking orders for the effective working of the cafeteria. The proposal focuses on developing interrelationship between kitchen staff, waiter staffs, house-keeping, top management, and customers for the smooth functioning of the proposed project. The communication should be developed between customers and the top level management to know the gap in the current working tactics.
