The project plan analyzes the interface design of online gift shop. This online gift shop project has undergone a formal closing procedure before the project manager makes the final payment. The project manager should submit a final report to the management on the project activities and finances within 3 months after project end date is approved. The scope of this project is to sale gifts to the customers online. The system interface of the online gift shop consists of pricing details of gift, shipping details and payment details. The key requirements of this system are details of items in the online shop, diverse language support, request for unavailable item, payment of the bills, and receipt of the bill and delivery date of the item.
In the website of online gift shop, there is About Us page where details of the gift shop such as address are given. There is a register / login page, the user can sign up with name, email address, login name and password. Then, a confirmation message is sent to the email address. After that, the user can select a language from the language option based on user’s desires. Then, the user can select the category of item. In the product category page, different types of products are given with its images and respective price. The top selling product with highest discount is appeared first. After clicking on the particular product, it shows if the product is available or not. Then, the user can either buy the product or add it to the cart. After clicking on the buy box, the payment option comes. The user pays the payment by selection of billing options. The user can enter all the details of delivery address, and then submit it. After that, the user can receive receipt of the bill as well as respective delivery date of the order. The user can track the purchased order through use of Google map application. There is also an option of live chat with the site operator.
Even through phone call and email, the user can contact with the technical support of the gift shop. The successes criteria of the system interface are that the entire functionality of the online gift shop is tested for quality using usability testing and only after that, its functionalities are approved.
The user interface of the online gift shop is design in a simple way so that the user can easily navigate it. Design is simple so that the user is happy and attracts to visit and purchase the products. The interface is designed with accurate responsive so that the user can view it from very devices like mobile, laptop, desktop and tablet. The interface uses accurate view and enter box so that the user can enter the right details at right place. Identification of the outdated information requires reducing at the designing of e-commerce site for the gift shop. The website has five-page design by means of the 0cm margin by the side of with the 14px size of font and font style of Arial. Finally, the website has proper baseline inputs for functionality. The design of this project focused on easy sight of the website of the Online Gift Shop. Designer uses low fidelity prototype design, as cost of development is low. For this particular project work, a detailed and conceptual design is followed. The interface design is evaluated with interactive versions. Different types of interaction design are pattern libraries, individual pattern and language patterns. Open source components as well as systems are also used in this project.
The outcome of the project is that the website of online gift shop is simple, easy to navigate and locate, responsive in minor, maintainable and fault tolerant. From the entire report, it is analysed that configuration is basic so that the client draws in to visit and buy the items. The interface is outlined with exact responsive so that the client can see it from exceptionally devices. The interface utilizes exact view and enter box so that the client can enter the correct subtle elements at ideal place. Originator utilizes low constancy model plan, as cost of improvement is low. Usability testing is done in the early on life cycle of the development process while the functional determination of this project work and the irregular condition configuration is to be made. The main objective of this usability test to examine the representation of the academic model and the associates of the test are both the user as well as website designer.
