Questions:
1.What is Corporate Culture?
2.How is Corporate Culture enforced in the company?
Answers:
The corporate culture refers a system of values, beliefs and the principles. It manages the behaviour of people in the corporations. The organisational culture is the merger of vision, mission, daily aspects of a communication and targets (Denny, 2017). An organisation culture can reflect from the dress of personnel, revenue of the organisation, company’s net worth, office duration and benefits of personnel, employment decisions and relationship with client, client’s satisfaction level and each aspect of the entity. It is a system to checks and makes balances that require to be protected at all organisation’s level (Craven, Gray and Stoneham, 2018). There are main six elements which help to build the corporate culture. These six elements are the following-
Vision-A healthy culture needs a vision and mission statement. A Good vision statement helps the customers, clients, dealers and other stakeholders. A vision statement is quite easy. It is a base of strong culture on workplace.
Values- The value of company is a basic principle of organisational culture. The vision provides a purpose of organisation on the other hand Value of the company provides a guideline for the behaviours and the approaches needed to have this vision. The companies search their values of the employees and the clients. The validity of the value is more important than the originality of the value (Ray, 2017).
People- This is an important element of healthy corporate culture. The people who have desire and ability to hold those values are necessarily required to create a positive corporate culture at the workplace (Masson and Shariff, 2016).
Practices- The value of company has no importance unless they are applied in the practices of the company. For example if people are great strength of any company, then it is necessary to invest in the people in best possible and the visible manner.
Narrative- The narrative is a basic element of the corporate culture. It became more authoritative when they identified as an element of the organisational culture.
Place- The place affects the other elements of the corporate culture. It attracts the values, vision, mission and people’s behaviour in the workplace
2.The corporate culture should enforce properly to create healthy environment in the entity. Following are the some steps to create positive environment in the organisation-
Bring transparency in the organisation- It is essential to bring transparency in the organisation to create healthy environment at workplace. Every personnel should free to contact, to take part and ask the question to relevant authority. If any employee feels uncomfortable to ask any question from the management or the authority then there should be opportunity for employees to ask question privately ( Robert, 2017).
Powers and freedom to the employees of the organisation- The Company should empower the employees and give them freedom so that they can take challenges, solve the problem easily and effective manner.
Focus on the physical space of company- It is important to focus on the physical space of the company to maintain healthy environment. While considering the space, it is necessary to focus on the comfort level of the employees of the company so that they can work effectively.
Hiring personnel smartly in the organisation- Positive work culture is the base of the organisation (Tomasic, Bottemley, Craven, Gray and Stoneham, 2018). The company should appoint positive candidates as an employee for the future growth of the organisation and negative staff should never be placed in the organisation. If there are negative employees in the organisation, then they should not be allowed in the company.
Talking to customers and the employees- Interaction is very important for positive corporate culture in the company. The employees should free to communicate to the management relevant authorities. In return the manager is required to listen problems and ideas of employees.
Give protection to staff- If employees feel not secured then positive environment cannot be create in the organisation. The managers of the organisation should make efforts for the protection of the employees in the company.
Development programmes for employee growth- The Company should make development programmes for the employees of the company. it should give opportunities to get promotion and bright future of employees.
As per the above analysis it is clear that the corporate culture describes and specifies the organisation. The success of the company depends on the work culture of the organisation. So company should make efforts to create positive work culture in the organisation.
