Each item on the  should be written to have focus and be quite specific in nature and be accompanied by a valid statement i.e. an explanation of how this information will assist in resolving the Business Issue/Problem outlined;
A comprehensive LIST OF THE INFORMATION (RESEARCH QUESTIONS) that will be sought (via Research) was drafted. The Research Questions had focus and clearly specified the information that was required

Nestlé is one of the largest confectionary companies in the world. However the main business problem lies in the company’s lack of communication to its farmers and its ability to stop the use of child labour in its farms. The question of profitability and mismanagement is highlighted every time the issue is discussed. The company has been accused over the time of not stopping its farmers in the African nations from using child labour in their farms and this has tarnished their image globally (Clarke, 2015).
Nestlé being one of the largest chocolate producers which is primarily for the children should bear extra responsibility about maintaining a strict rule about abiding by child labour laws. They should make their farmers aware of the corporate responsibility and business ethics.
Research Question:
Nestlé is one of the largest confectionary companies in the world with a sales revenue of around $89.8 billion (nestle.com, 2018). It employs a large number of people all around the world in their different farms and factories and contribute a significant amount to the world’s economy. Being such a large company, Nestlé looks forward to fulfil its corporate responsibilities by contributing to the society, but the question remains whether Nestlé is actually doing so or just maintaining its balance sheet in an unethical way.

Whether child labour is encouraged by Nestlé?
Whether child labour contributes to the profits of Nestlé?
If not, what are the measures that Nestlé has taken to prevent this child labour issue?
Research Aim and Objectives:

The main aim of the research is to identify the severity of the child labour problem in Nestlé farms and how to address the issue.
To find out the causes of the child labour problem in Nestlé farms
To find out the effects of the child labour in the society.
To find out whether it is profitability or mismanagement that is the root cause of the issue.
To provide recommendations to stop the child labour issue.
Research GAP:

The research is focused on the child labour problem in the Nestlé farms due to their inability to stop the farmers and the lack of communication. However, such a problem cannot be one sided problem, and it is highly unbelievable that Nestlé is unaware of such major social issues (Wijesinghe, 2018). This question requires to find out several other issues which are:
It is highly important to understand the work environment in the Nestlé farms and how the internal policies of Nestlé are directly involved in the child labour problem (Fair Labor Association, 2012). It is very important to understand the company’s policies which it declares are to be against child labour issues and how they have tried to address the issue that highlighted over time again and again (nestle.com, 2018). This will help to complete the research in a balanced way as it will judge the issue from both viewpoints and will help in drawing a conclusion to the research.
Research Approach:
The required information about the child labour issue has been collected using a quantitative research survey. The detailed information can help in undertaking an in-depth analysis of the proble
Research Design:
The research approach is a plan on how the problem is to be analysed by gathering the samples for the research before the detailed research is conducted. A large company like Nestlé, needs to be inquired upon on a detailed level, by gathering information about the lives and nature of the farmers in Nestlé farms so that a detailed analysis can be drawn upon to highlight the child labour issue of the company.
6.1. Research Technique:
It has been reported in several audits and reports that the child labour problem in Nestlé farms continue to persist in the modern age. The quantitative surveys about the major issues that are to be done at the Nestlé farms will help to identify the problems as the primary tool of research among the workers of the Nestlé. An anonymous survey regarding the reports on random workers of the Nestlé farm is to be conducted by holding interviews about the use of child labour.
The interview is to be conducted among the workers who are about 32.6% of the work population of Cote de Ivory (nestle.com, 2018). This survey will help to identify whether the workers are aware of the child labour issue and the effects that it has on the society on which the interview is to be conducted. These interviews will also bridge the gaps between the published reports and the actual case scenario and help to understand whether the case scenario is actually very severe as has been reported.
The priority of the researcher while conducting the survey is to be focused on the following criteria:

Precise samples
High difference in the population that is to be interviewed
Firsthand experience of the interviewees
Confident report about the findings of the survey
6.2. Population and Sample:

The population comprises of the group of people on whom the research is to be conducted and who will contribute to the primary data collection of the research. They will actively participate in the interviews and help effectively to contribute to the collection of data in the survey (Zikmund, et al. 2013).
Nestlé has an approximately 147000 workers in Cote de Ivory working in their farms, and so it will be easier to choose random interviewees from the huge population of workers (nestle-cwa.com, 2018). It will easier to approach them when working in the farms as it will help them to disclose the facts about their working life and the use of child labour (Marshall & Shipman, 2013). In this process, it will be easier to notice if there is any child labour as has been suggested in the audit reports and if possible a few interviews of the child labourers can also be gathered.
One of such interviewees is Didier Ozube, who has provided sincere statements about the issues such as child labour and how there are still the use of children less than 15 years of age in the Nestlé farms due to low cost labour and the effectiveness of the children. This also provided good insights about the company’s management techniques and about their outlook about engaging child labour in the Nestlé farms.
6.3. Sampling Design:
The proper sampling is the key for the framework on which the detailed research is to be carried out and hence it is essential to create a sample free of errors which can help in conducting a balanced research highlighting all the aspects of the research objectives (Hair Jr, et al. 2015).
In this research, the researcher has chosen the Nestlé farms in Cote de Ivore where thousands of workers work as the sample frame of the research. As the farms employ a huge number of people it becomes easier to identify the key issues about child labour that they can highlight during the conducted surveys.
The Sampling frame requires to find out error free information about the child labour problems by asking the labourers about the key issues that are to be considered in addressing the child labour problem. It is essential only to highlight the specific issues so that proper information regarding the issue and gathered and other irrelevant information can be avoided.
A digital recording instrument can be used besides paper surveys so that the actual statements from the workers and can be later used in detail for the research to conducted without errors. Moreover, the paper surveys can be of great help as the workers can answer the specific questions that are related to the child labour issue and contribute significantly (Fowler, 2013)
Implementation Plan:
The survey research is a long process and a detailed implementation plan is to be generated for making the survey easier and hassle free (Merriam & Tisdell, 2015).

It is essential to have a focused approach towards the intended survey and the necessary learning outcomes should be kept in mind in order to avoid insignificant and unwanted results.
It essential to determine a concrete budget to calculate the required expenses during the research work.
It is essential to understand how the survey would affect the research and how much it can contribute to make the research purpose a strong one.
It is essential to make a detailed list of the people taking part in the survey so that it will be helpful to understand the effectiveness of the data gathered from the survey.
It is essential to construct a project timeline so that a sustainable approach can be taken to complete the survey within a specific time period.

The research proposal highlights one of the key problems of Nestlé that is the child labour in their farms. For this the researcher has identified the key research questions and has developed the research objective accordingly. This has helped in the identification of the research gaps. Further the researcher discusses the different research methods that are to be used and the population who are to be surveyed. This has further helped the researcher to develop a sample framework which will help to develop a balanced research based on the surveys conducted.
