Area A
The need to reduce the rate of alcohol and drug use leads to the essence of increased advocacy on behavior change. Ultimately, there will be more productive citizens, reduced incarcerations rates, and improved standards of living.
Area B
The greatest challenge of effective treatment is poor adherence to treatment and high dropout rates (Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, 1999). Better treatment approaches result in lowered health costs; hence, finds can be channeled to other areas of socioeconomic development.
Area C
Improving the services provided at the Alcohol and Drug service prompts the need to solicit for more funds. Subsequently, these finds will be used to reach out to the victims and vulnerable youths to help them focus on achieving life goals and avoid indulging in crime (“Tackling alcohol and drug abuse,” n. d).
Area D
Information is power, and the victims of alcohol and drug use are not fully aware of the effects of their behavior. In addition, there might be more like them who can be easily influenced. Thereby, development of educational programs helps to empowering the society and subsequently, help to channel the energy of the youth to economic activities to help in the economic growth of the nation (Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, 1999).
