Introduction
Decision making can be defined as a method of formulating a course of action within the organization based on a set of alternatives. It is viewed as the gearing force within the organization as it spells out how the operation procedures in the production.
In making a decision, there are some levels of decision making which should be incorporated in the process so as to give a meaningful decision to the organization. Such levels involve design aspects, behavioural and functional intentions, physical elements and implementation intentions of the made decision. (Pettigrew, pg.56).
During the research project, discussed below questions will direct the researching team in formulating their decisions.
Design Aspect
1.Following the employee’s willingness to work as a team, it shows that they have welcomed the policies and regulations guiding them within the organization.
2.More and efficient machines have been acquired by the organization in facilitating the production process.
3.Fair pricing and production of quality goods are some of the set ethical policies between the organization and the targeted market.
4.Scale weighing and balancing scale are used in quantifying the produced goods to determine the level output yield per day.
Functional and behavioural intentions
1.Profit maximization, consumers` satisfaction and production of quality products are the main set functional goals which motivate the production process.
2.The number of employees depends on the operational departments which have a maximum number of four per department.
3.At the moment the organizational cost of production is very high following increase in the price of raw materials due to change in climatic condition.
4.Goods which are already produced are sorted according to their prices, quantity and durability.
Physical elements of decision making
1.Goods are physically transported to the market by use of company`s trucks. Times, wholesalers douse their own means of transport when they purchase directly from the firm.
2.Produced goods are stored in the warehouse situated within the compound and also for short-term storage, they are temporary put in set aside stores, ( Poliner and Jacqueline pg.345)
3.From the last audit report, current value the firm`s owned assets worth $400 million.
4.In cases of bad debt from the customers, insurance policy cover taken by the company will take its course hence compensation to the organization.
Implementation Intention
1.Workers are forced to adapt to the new changes made within the organization.
2.Use of employee`s evaluation schemes where the output of each employee is recorded and checked daily.
3.Recruitment is done based on academic background and other qualifications like communication skills.
4.This is done by invitation of their representatives to the board meetings so as to air their grievances.
Conclusion
From the above-asked questions in a different level of decision making and the possible solution given by the designer during the interview process, a better decision can be formulated.
